About us
Habitat Art Studio was founded by Megan Afansev, an artist, K-8 visual art teacher, and lover of all things outdoors. After working as a fashion and textile designer for 10 years, she was inspired to share her love of art, nature, and color with others.
At Habitat Art Studio, we offer children in the Bay Area opportunities to experience nature-based and environmentally focused art classes. We want them to discover and appreciate the joy of the art-making process. Our teachers and child-centered curriculum provide young artists with various outdoor art classes at local parks. The outdoor experience allows children to tap into the sights and sounds that nature abundantly offers and is critical for sensory and cognitive development in their early years.
